One of the few certainties about Brexit is that the UK is not going to stop building. In his Autumn Statement the Chancellor, Philip Hammond, relaxed the fiscal belt a notch or two in order that the country could remain economically active throughout the process of leaving the European Union. The UK’s property development and construction companies have performed particularly well during the last quarter, reinforcing this point.

A few weeks ago we were contacted by a local industrial estate agent who deal with the sale and letting of industrials units and offices in the Hampshire and Surrey area.

They were looking to create a listing for an entire site in Aldershot comprising of a number of small industrial units, and they were keen to show off the size and location of the site from the air.

A few months ago we were contacted by Glatz Pioneer, a Bedfordshire-based company that specialise in the design and installation of bespoke, automated swimming pool covers. They had just finished installing one of their largest systems to date at the Olympic-sized swimming pools at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, and they were keen to have it documented for their website and to share with potential clients they meet at international trade shows via branded memory sticks.

Certainty. That’s the one thing above all else that people want when they book their holiday rental property. Aerial photographs help to market a property and show that what you see is what you will get!

The market for holiday rentals is a competitive one, especially in popular areas around the UK, for example, the Cotswolds. Although May through to September are peak times for holiday rentals in this country, people start looking for ideas in those ‘down days’ often between Christmas and New Year,

National construction firm Willmott Dixon have used our services a number of times over the last few months to document some of their recently completed projects across the South East of the UK.

The latest two sites to be filmed were Bohunt School in Worthing, West Sussex and Warfield School in Warfield, Berkshire. The brief for both of the videos was the same – produce a 2-3 minute promotional video comprising both aerial and ground-based footage, that would give someone who hasn’t visited the site before an idea of the scale and complexity of the work that had been undertaken.

We were recently commissioned by a building surveyor to take a set of inspection photographs of the roof of a terraced house in Hammersmith, London, and this shoot was a prime example of how our telescopic mast is perfectly suited to performing roof inspections in very cramped conditions where no vehicle-mounted mast could ever reach.

Last month we were commissioned to take an updated set of aerial photographs of the beautiful Aldro School for boys in Shackleford near Godalming, Surrey.

Since we last visited the school back in October 2014 they have built a brand new sports hall on part of the site, and this was one of the changes they wanted to capture in the new imagery.

In August we were commissioned by Two Hoots campsite in Alresford, Hampshire, to produce a promotional video that would not only show off their accommodation and facilities, but more importantly their stunning countryside location.

As in previous video shoots, we were given completely free reign over how to shoot and produce the video, and one sunny August afternoon we spent several hours on site capturing short video clips from multiple angles – using both our drone and ground-based video cameras

Following on from the news that we’ve been nominated for the ‘Most Successful Startup of the Year’ award by the Surrey Chambers of Commerce, we’re delighted to announce that our Director, David Hogg, has also reached the ‘Young Business Person of the Year 2016’ category final of the Inspire Business Awards, celebrating the achievements of North Hampshire based business owners under 30 years of age.

Earlier this month we received the exciting news that Horizon Imaging are one of the 5 finalists in the Surrey Chambers of Commerce ‘Most Successful Start-up of the Year’ award for 2016! We won’t know any more until we attend the President’s Awards Dinner on the 20th October 2016, but just to be nominated onto the list is something we’re very proud about and is a testament to the level of service we provide to our clients (we were nominated for this award by one of our clients!).
