Despite the spate of wet, cloudy and windy days over the last few weeks – well it is the height of summer here in the UK (!) – Horizon Imaging recently photographed this beautiful farm in the heart of the South Downs National Park near Loxwood, West Sussex.

As part of Horizon Imaging's ongoing relationship with Jackson-Stops & Staff in Midhurst, this property was photographed in its entirety for some new marketing literature, which required capturing a comprehensive range of ground-based photographs (interior and exterior), as well as a set of birds-eye aerial photographs – as taken with our radio-controlled drone.

What is often overlooked when commissioning a set of photographs like this, is how much time and skill goes into post-processing the images. Different lighting conditions, different camera, lens and filter settings, and different subject matter can all lead to images which vary greatly in colour tone and exposure.

One instance where this is particularly noticeable is when comparing photographs of the same subject taken from ground level and from the air, as in the examples shown on the right. Although imperceptible to the naked eye, atmospheric haze causes photographs taken from the air to have a strong blue tint which would be quite obvious if left uncorrected. However, as we individually post-process every photograph, we are able to make sure all the images in a set have the same colour balance and 'feel' to them – one of the key benefits of having all your property photographs taken by the same company at the same time.

Jackson-Stops & Staff continue to sell record numbers of properties like the one featured here, and it is a pleasure to provide them with beautiful, eye-catching imagery for their marketing literature. They recently left us the following testimonial about the services we provide:
After over a year of working with David, we and our clients continue to be blown away by his aerial and architectural photographs – they really help our property adverts stand out on our website and in our brochures
Do you wish your property marketing photographs could stand out from the competition? Are you afraid that your current photographs aren't doing your properties justice, or are letting the properties down? Or perhaps you just don't have the time to take photos of your properties yourself and are looking to outsource? In any case, give us a call today – we can help!
